Trustees at the Upper Canada District School Board are showing continued support for their board.
During an organizational meeting last week Board Chair Jeff McMillan was acclaimed for the 2017-2018 term, his fourth consecutive appointment since December of 2014. McMillan says he has worked very hard to represent the position with integrity and will continue to do so.
During the same meeting the board also acclaimed 1st Vice-Chair Caroll Carkner and elected incumbent 2nd Vice-Chair David McDonald. Carkner has also been in her position since December of 2014 and McDonald has been 2nd Vice-Chair since 2010.
The Board of Trustees govern the school board, with responsibilities including setting school board policy and advocating for stakeholders.
