The ‘Lock it or Lose it’ campaign is back in Brockville and it comes as police receive numerous reports of vehicles being entered.
According to Brockville Police last week they received six reports in one day from residents who claimed their vehicle had been entered overnight. All of the incidents happened in the city’s North-end and police say the vehicles were left unlocked in most cases. Areas targeted include; Montrose and Shearer Drive areas, Vanier Drive and Meighan Crescent neighborhoods and Ferguson Drive.
The holiday ‘Lock it or Lose it’ campaign was already scheduled but now seems extra fitting. Brockville Police officers will be peering through windows and checking door handles around the city in an attempt to teach people how to avoid becoming a victim.
