With the new year around the corner, the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is helping residents who are trying to quit smoking.
The health unit is partnering with a number of groups including Ottawa Public Health, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the Champlain Regional Cancer Program among others, to offer myquit.ca. The site offers tips, facts, and information to help those that wish to quit smoking or reduce their tobacco use. It's free of charge.
There’s also help through one-on- one coaching, group coaching, and online and telephone coaching.
If you'd like to learn more about the program, you can visit myquit.ca.
