Police charge two people in separate impaired driving incidents

Brockville Police officers were kept busy yesterday dealing with a few impaired driving incidents in the city.

The Brockville Police Service says officers were called to Brockville Collegiate Institute regarding a vehicle that had left the road and was stuck in the snow on the front lawn area of the school. Officers noticed that the 44-year-old woman had been drinking and arrested her for impaired driving. Police also found alcohol inside the vehicle.

Later in the day officers were called to a gas station at the corner of Parkedale and Stewart Boulevard. Police say a man was having a difficult time pumping gas into his vehicle and seemed intoxicated. The man had left by the time police arrive but they found him at the A+W drive thru. The 54-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving as well.

Both face future court dates.
