The Town of Prescott is now advertising positions within the municipality they hope to fill with students this summer.
Most positions will be best suited to post-secondary students who can work full time from early May until the end of August. There are some positions running from late June to the end of August that will work for high school students. Prescott is looking for; an administrative assistance for the Operations Department, a student labourer at Public Works, pre-qualified instructors and lifeguards and groundskeepers with Parks and Recreation.
To qualify applications must be attending school on a full-time basis and plan to attend again in the fall. The town adds that some positions may only be available to students in their final year of study. Applicants are asked to state which position they are applying for in their resume or cover letter and include “Summer Student” in the subject line of the email.
Interested students can apply by emailing [email protected] or by dropping a hard-copy off at town hall. All applications must be in by 4:00pm on March 16th and successful candidates will be notified before March 30th. The town adds that only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
