Prescott OPP Hiring Summer Students

The Grenville OPP is looking for students to work with them during the summer.

The Prescott detachment of the OPP is going to bring on two students as part of the Youth in Policing Initiative. According to the OPP the position runs for eight weeks during the summer over a variety of shifts. Students selected as part of the initiative will report to 200 Development Drive in Prescott and be assigned various duties throughout the day. Some of the examples provided include; assisting at the Food for All Food Bank, Fort Henry, Prescott Public Works and the Shakespeare Festival.

To be considered for one of the positions applicants must be between the ages of 15-18, reside in the South Grenville area and be returning to school in the fall. The OPP says youth interested in a career in law enforcement should consider applying because they will gain insight into the roles and responsibilities of a police officer.

Students interested in applying can email [email protected] or drop a hardcopy of their resume off to the Prescott OPP detachment. May 4th is the deadline to apply.
