The Spring Forward weekend serves as a great reminder to check your smoke detectors.
The Ontario Fire & Life Safety Educators wants to remind you that working smoke alarms save lives and the Daylight Savings Time weekends in the Fall and in the Spring are a great bi-annual time to check the batteries in yours.
The law states that you must have working smoke detectors outside of every sleeping area, as well as CO alarms on every level of your home.
On Sunday morning at 1am we Spring Forward so while you’re changing your clocks, please don’t forget to test your smoke and CO alarms.
