The 2018 Community Grant Application Program total has been finalized.
Prescott Town Hall will be giving out $59,500 to groups and organizations this year. Councillors Teresa Jansman, Leanne Burton and Fraser Laschinger made up the working committee that discussed the applications received by the town. Jansman says they did a very detailed analysis of all the applications with help from town Treasurer Mathew Armstrong.
All six council members and the Mayor voted in favour of the proposal and Jansman says they will be following up with a personal letter from staff explaining their decisions. To be considered for a grant applicants had to be registered charities with the Canada Revenue Agency or an unincorporated non-profit.
