The end of winter means community clean up projects across the region.
In an attempt to help beautify the area after the spring thaw many towns, cities and municipalities are asking their citizens to lend a hand by volunteering to pick up litter. The Township of Augusta says it would like to see residents out from 8:00am to noon on April 28th.
Prescott and Brockville will hold their events on April 21st. Both start at 9:00am, with Brockville’s running until noon and Prescott’s until 1:00pm. At all three clean ups volunteers will be given any cleaning supplies, like rakes or garbage bags, they might need.
Anyone interested in the Brockville clean up must go online and select the area they wish to work at, which can be done here. Augusta Township has asked all volunteers register in advance by calling 613-925-4231 extension 101. Full details on the Prescott clean-p are available here.
