The Health Unit is Giving Young Children in the Area Easier Access to Dental Care

The Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is bringing a dental hygienist to the area.

Children under 6 years old are eligible for a dental screening and fluoride varnish this week at the Ingredion Centre in Cardinal. According to the Health Unit they will have a registered hygienist on site from 9:00am to 11:30 on April 27th. The hygienist will also have material about the Healthy Smiles Ontario program, which provides free dental care for eligible children under 17 years old.

Parents must give verbal or written consent for the hygienist to work on their children’s teeth and another session will be held in Prescott on May 23rd. For more details on the Health Smiles Ontario program click here.
