A mutual aid call was answered by the North Grenville Fire Service. The call came in last night from the North Dundas Fire Department to assist with a large agricultural fire in Mountain.
The fire was inside a silo at a property on Van Camp Road in North Dundas. The call came in around 6:00pm and seven firefighters from North Grenville responded.
The fire service is reporting that a chemical reaction initiated fire conditions in the interior of the silo. No injuries occurred as a result of the fire. Firefighters from North Grenville and North Dundas worked until about midnight battling the blaze.
