First Ever Eastern Ontario Virtual Job Fair To Be Held In March

If you’re looking for work in Leeds-Grenville or surrounding areas, you’ll want to check out the Eastern Ontario Virtual Job Fair.

Employment Ontario is set to present the first ever virtual job fair in response to the pandemic, and in order to come together to support the communities of Eastern Ontario.

Rhonda Beauregard of Employment Ontario says the fair will have job opportunities in Leeds Grenville, Ottawa, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry, and Prescott-Russell.

“We’ve recruited 40 employers who will be having virtual booths at the fair,” Beauregard said. “And we’re looking at having an opportunity for job seekers to log onto a virtual platform where they can be connected with employers who are currently hiring.”

Beauregard says Employment Ontario understands the unique needs of both job seekers and employers and the impact that Covid-19 has had on the economy, job security, and general well being.

She adds the fair will help job seekers build their network, make connections, and find a job that suits their skills.

“How do you look for work, how do you do an interview, how could Employment Ontario help job seekers in finding work,” she added. “There’s also an opportunity to have live meet and greets with employers. And there is a schedule of events on our website for people to take a look at.”

The fair takes place March 2-4.
