Firefighters and police in Brockville had a busy evening after responding to a pair of fire calls.
On Wednesday, at 6:24 p.m., officers and firefighters responded to a fire at the Comfort Inn on Kent Boulevard.
Police say the fire was contained to the boiler room and they’re not considering it to be suspicious.
Later on, around 11:50 p.m., police and firefighters responded to a structure fire on Buell Street.
The fire was contained to two units, however, two others were also damaged.
Fire crews brought the blaze under control, and it’s now under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.Â
Several units in the area were evacuated in the event the fire would spread.Â
Officials say the cause of the fire is not known at this time.
According to police, road closures are still in place on Buell Street between James Street and Pearl Street
