Several More COVID-19 Cases Being Reported In Schools Across United Counties

Several COVID-19 cases are being reported in schools across the United Counties.

On Thursday, the Upper Canada District School Board reported cases in Morrisburg Public School, and Oxford on Rideau Public School in Kemptville.

Both schools remain open, and the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit and Eastern Ontario Health Unit are working with them and communicating with anyone who may have had a high risk exposure.

Another case was reported by the UCDSB earlier this week at North Grenville District High School, which also remains open.

Meanwhile, Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est is reporting the number of cases at Académie catholique Notre-Dame is now up to 15, with 4 classes in isolation, and the school closed as a result.

Additionally, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario reported less than 5 cases at St. Michael Catholic High School back on March 21.

Two classes have been isolated but the school is still open.

Overall, the LGL Health Unit is now up to 122 active COVID-19 cases, with 35 of them in the United Counties of Leeds-Grenville.
