Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit reopens Local Call Centre

People looking to book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine now have another option to do so.

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has reopened its Local Call Centre. The Call Centre, created to give people another way to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, is reopening because of an increase in the number of calls coming in.

“Reopening the Local Call Centre will provide better service for residents,” the Health Unit says on its website, “and will ensure that the Health Unit’s other phone lines do not become overloaded.”

The Call Centre initially closed on August 27th, due to a significant decrease in call volume. It will now be open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. In addition to booking COVID-19 vaccines, you can now get assistance obtaining your COVID-19 vaccine receipt through the call centre.

The Health Unit’s online vaccine booking portal will still be available for people who don’t want to call, as will walk-in clinics. The Call Centre’s phone number is 1-844-369-1234.
