Update: Work continues to restore access to UCDSB network

Our local public school board says it continues to work around-the-clock to restore access to its network.

Officials at the Upper Canada District School Board announced last week that it was impacted by an ongoing cyber incident.

On Friday, the board said in an update that they have been working closely with cybersecurity experts in the recovery efforts and will continue to do so for as long as necessary.

While schools are open and some key services are beginning to come back online, they add it is not business as usual across their system.

You are asked to continue to call your school to report student absences, or if you need to contact a staff member. Registration is available in person at all of our schools.

The update notes that the incident appears to be separate from a breach at a software company called PowerSchool that has impacted other boards.
