It’s an annual sign of spring.
Roadside spraying for weeds across Leeds and Grenville is scheduled to begin this weekend with officials saying it helps keep roads and signs easy to see and stops the spread of harmful and invasive weeds.
Only unmaintained ditches will be sprayed with yards and ditches that are mowed and maintained not receiving the treatment.
The spraying will be done by Wagar and Corput Weed Control Incorporated using approved products registered under the Pest Control Products Act.
You’re asked to place a “no spray” sign in front of your property if you don’t want the treatment.
