Police: Driver faces charges after driving tractor-trailer while impaired

A 47-year-old Toronto man faces charges after police say he was driving a tractor-trailer while impaired.

Grenville County OPP say an off-duty police officer and a member of the public called them just after 9 p.m. on April 16 to report a tractor-trailer that was driving northbound down the middle of the Highway 416, near Edwardsburgh Cardinal, at a slow speed.

Police say the truck was stopped on the highway and the driver was arrested with blood tests done and showing that he was more than three times the legal limit.

The driver faces impaired charges and he has a future court date in Brockville.
