The Model Train and Toy Show in Prescott is being called a resounding success.
Organizers say the event, held for the second year in a row, drew over 1,000 people to the Leo Boivin Community Centre on April 12.
It featured operating layouts, displays, model train sales, swaps, and more.
From the show, $5,000 was donated to the South Grenville Food Bank with another $3,000 presented to the Prescott Public Library.
Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar says thirty rooms were also booked at the new Quality Inn for people who came for the show.
