The summer schedule is quickly filling up in Prescott.
Prescott Town Council voted at their regular meeting on Tuesday night to endorse a new event called Porch Fest.
It’s scheduled to take place on May 31 and will feature a variety of local musicians performing on porches throughout the town, culminating with a dinner and performance at Prescott Town Hall on the Saturday evening.
Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar tells Moose FM that they are thinking of everyone when it comes to the types of events that are taking place.
“They are very family friendly, economically friendly events (that) aren’t just for people of wealth that can afford it, you can have these experiences and not have to reach into your pocket.”
Prescott will be one of a few communities hosting Porch Fest this season, including Merrickville and Spencerville.
