It appears there could be new life for Maple View Lodge in Athens.
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Counties Council has given the greenlight to a proposal to transform the former nursing home into a multi-use centre.
The work will be done in phases with part one including a day care and the second part based around developing independent living units, including affordable apartments.
It’s expected the total cost of the project will come in at approximately $24.3 million with council required to approve costs as the work continues.
