This is Smile Cookie Week at Tim Hortons locations across the country with the proceeds from all cookies sold going to benefiting local groups and organizations.
In Prescott, proceeds from the sale of the cookies are going to the South Grenville Food Bank and its four locations.
South Grenville Food Bank Executive Director Bonnie Pidgeon tells Moose FM that they are in the community to help when it’s needed.
“So if someone says I’ve never had to use the food bank before, that’s ok, that’s why we were created, if someone says I’ve only had to use it a couple if times, that’s ok too.”
Smile Cookies will be available until Sunday.
