It’s all coming sunny-side up for Island Breakfast. The Brockville summer attraction has been nominated for the Ontario Culinary Tourism Event of the Year. Over 1500 tourists come out of the four day event on Refugee Island every June. Volunteers serve breakfasts and other food items, all of which are locally grown and prepared in the Brockville area. To sweeten this news, The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has also been presented with a nomination for the Tourism Marketing Campaign Award Under $25,000. Winners of both awards will be served up at the Ontario Tourism Summit in Ottawa on November 21st & 22nd.
