32-year old Meg Plooy has been named Brockville’s Young Professional of the Year. Plooy is currently the executive director of the Downtown Brockville Business Improvement Area, and has previously run for Brockville city council. Plooy says that she is constantly working toward creating a stable local economy for future generations. The award was handed out Friday night at the Otter’s Den event in Brockville which was an event meant to mirror the show “Dragon’s Den”.
