Hundreds of grade seven and eight girls across the Upper Canada District School Board will be attending the Women In Trades Event tomorrow.
The event at North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville is meant to introduce young female students to the trades as an option for a future career.
Students will also have the opportunity to meet with various apprenticeship programs and will be addressed by Jamie McMillan, an iron worker and the founder of the Journeyman Organization, which is an organization that promotes women in trades.
