With the Upper Canada District School Board’s accommodation review plan set to close a potential 29 schools in Eastern Ontario, meetings for public input are slated to begin this week.
AÂ public meeting for the Grenville, Brockville, and River area is scheduled for next Tuesday, November 15th at South Grenville District High School at 6:30pm. A second meeting for the same area isn’t scheduled until January 24th, 2017 in Brockville.
Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark recently wrote to UCDSB chairman Jeff McMillan and Education Minister Mitzie Hunter calling for a halt to the accommodation review.
Clark has said that community engagement is needed for the review process to be reconsidered and has regularly been attending meetings across the county.
