“Recovery Team” Brought Into Brockville General Hospital

A “recovery team” is being brought in to Brockville General Hospital by supervisor Kevin Empey.
The move is to ensure the hospital still performs at the highest level during it’s time of transition.
Empey was recently appointed as supervisor at the hospital a month ago to improve the day-to-day functioning and re-establish a board.
Cornwall Community Hospital President and CEO Jeanette Despatie will act as a part-time CEO at Brockville General Hospital, with Dan Germain becoming the stand-in Chief Information Officer and Ginette Ferguson the temporary clinical advisor.
The team was selected by Empey based on their long-time experience and outside perspective. Despatie has been in her position in Cornwall since 2005.
Empey stated that the “recovery team are only consultants and not employees. He adds the hires fit into the hospital’s budget nicely, filling the would-be spot of a full-time CEO.
