The Upper Canada District School Board will be holding their first meeting for the Grenville, Brockville, and Athens areas tonight for public input regarding the board’s accommodation review process to potentially close 29 schools across Eastern Ontario.
The meeting starts at 6:30pm at South Grenville District High School.
This meeting comes in the wake of a resignation from committee member Michelle Taylor, who was tasked with moderating the meeting, after she proclaimed the process to be an “absolute farce”.
Speakers wishing to present at the meeting must register with the UCDSB with a prepared presentation in advance.
The second and final meeting for the area takes place January 24th, 2017 in Brockville.
