Large Scale Drug Operation Busted In Leeds and Thousand Islands

After a month long investigation OPP, Gananoque Police, and Canada Border Services Agency have announced that have seized and shut down a large scale marijuana production on Old River Road in Leeds and Thousand Islands.
Approximately $1.2 million dollars in drugs was seized including 544 marijuana plants, 146 pounds of dried marijuana, 82 pounds of cannabis resin oil, 41 grams of cannabis resin hashish, 0.5 grams of crack cocaine, paraphernalia, and Canadian and American cash.
Two men from Front Escott township aged 28 and 43-years old, one man from Augusta township aged 29, and one man from Edwardsburg township aged 44 are all charged with production of a schedule two substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
All four are scheduled to appear in court in mid-December. Further investigations are still ongoing.
