With the first true snowfall of the season covering the ground, the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is warning riders to not venture out onto any trails yet.
The Federation says that trails have not been properly groomed yet. There is also a safety concern that the ground, waterways, and swamps are not fully frozen yet, and there is not enough snow pack to protect riders or vehicles from obstacles.
The announcement also asks snowmobilers to stay off public roads and avoid trespassing on farmer’s fields.
