Today is Wear Purple Day and is also the first day of the 16 Days of Action Event for the Leeds and Grenville Interval House.
All of this is part of the Shine The Light campaign that has been running all November. The campaign is working towards ending violence against women.
A rally will be held today at 11:30am at the Women’s Monument in Brockville to launch the 16 Days of Action event. Tonight there will also be a lighting of the Trees of Courage at 6:30pm at Courthouse Square.
If you would like to participate in the 16 Days of Action, follow the Leeds and Grenville Interval House on social media.
Today is also the International Day of the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
