The Town of Prescott will be welcoming delegates from the city of Shangrao, China tomorrow afternoon.
The representatives will be here to initiate the beginning of a twinning agreement between the two municipalities.
There will be a special council meeting held tomorrow at 4:00pm for the formal signing of a letter of intent, with the hopes that the partnerships will lead to investment and business in the area.
Mayor Brett Todd says the partnership has been in the works since 2011, but will take time before the town starts seeing any returns.
There have been 31 previous twinning agreements between Canada and China, but none on the basis of business.
