The town council meeting will be starting an hour early tonight at 6:00pm in order to accommodate the Committee of the Whole meeting that got snowed out last week.
Three items of interest will be on the agenda.
With Founder’s Day upcoming, council will receive an update on preparations and decisions to rededicate the clock tower and restore the plaque that was originally on it.
Council also looks set to stand behind the Prescott Curling Club’s petition that will be sent to the provincial government. The town is looking to add their voice to the growing number of municipalities who are becoming concerned with the rising cost of hydro in Ontario.
It is also expected that council will hire an Integrity Commissioner who will be tasked with introducing council members to their first formal code of conduct.
