Two Drivers Arrested for Impairment After Weekend R.I.D.E. Campaigns

Regional OPP made two arrests of area drivers from R.I.D.E. programs over the weekend.

A R.I.D.E. stop on McIntosh Road in Augusta saw a 24-year-old driver from the region get arrested for impair driving. The man from Augusta Township tried avoiding the road-stop check as well before being caught by police.

Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry OPP also arrested a local man in South Dundas after a successful R.I.D.E. program on County Road 31 on Sunday morning. A 49-year-old man from North Dundas is now charged with impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance.
