Not a week after the OPP warned drivers to watch for wildlife by the roadways, a deer has been struck in Brockville.
It happened on Centennial Road on Wednesday evening. The driver wasn’t hurt and the vehicle came out relatively unscathed, but the deer had to be put down because of injuries.
Provincial Police has warned that many types of animals become more active at dawn and dusk and travel near roadways.
OPP tells drivers to brake firmly and not to swerve if you see a deer in your oncoming path.
