Leeds-Grenville MP Gord Brown has announced that Canada Summer Jobs applications are being accepted now.
The Canada Summer Jobs program will award funding to not-for-profit organizations, public sector employers, and businesses with 50 people or less to hire summer students between the ages of 15 and 30.
Brown says this is a great way for students to earn experience and gain long term employment.
There is $568,767 available to the Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes area to help businesses provide better service this upcoming summer.

Last year 249 jobs were approved for the area.
The deadline for applications is January 20th, and applications are available through Service Canada.
