The Leeds and Grenville and Cornwall and District Labour Councils will be holding a public meeting and panel discussion demanding the restoration of affordable electricity.
The meeting will address the privatization of Ontario’s power, the sell-off of Hydro One, and ending taxation on electricity.
The Labour Councils cited stats from a Toronto Star article in their argument stating that the sale of the utility will end up costing the province more than it takes in.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 13th at 7:00pm at the McIntosh Inn in Morrisburg.
