Over 1,400 Hydro One customers who have had their power disconnected will have it reconnected for the rest of the winter.
Hydro One Executive Vice President of Customer Care and Corporate Affairs Ferio Pugliese says residential customers across Hydro One’s area will be reconnected, including those in North and South Grenville.
They also won’t have to pay re-connection fee, although load restrictors may be installed.
A current Hydro One policy means customers are not disconnected during winter months.
Recent surges in hydro costs have been the reason some customers have not been able to pay their bills.
Hydro One says it is reaching out to customers interested in being reconnected, although they will have to commit to a payment plan.
