Local high school students will go back to taking the EQAO testing on paper.
The Education Quality and Accountability Office has announced it will not be taking a second chance with it’s province-wide online testing. Education Minister Mitzi Hunter says security concerns and system stability needs to be addressed moving forward.
This comes after a global attack in October on the literacy evaluation stopped almost 900 schools across Ontario from writing the test. The EQAO described the attack as “intentional, malicious, and sustained”.
