The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority is saying that the Rideau River watershed is still in a “moderate” drought. While that’s a downgrade from the “severe” status we’ve seen since this summer, the authority says there’s still a need to conserve water.
The good news is that local waterways have seen above normal flows due to rain in October and a snow melt in November.
