There is a full agenda at Prescott’s last council meeting of the year tonight.
Among other items, current Acting Treasurer Matthew Armstrong will be promoted into the role as Prescott’s full time Treasurer. Armstrong has been operating in the Acting role since July 4th. The role of town Treasurer was previously held by Lorie Kirkby who has since retired.
It is also Prescott’s turn to appoint a representative to the Raisin-South Nation Source Protection Committee. The chosen individual will represent Prescott, North Grenville, Elizabethtown-Kitley, Edwarsdburgh-Cardinal, and Augusta. The committee’s job is to ensure the listed municipalities are in accordance with the Clean Water Act.
