A Leeds County OPP officer has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
The charge stems from a crash with a civilian car that took place in June in Johnstown at the intersection of County Road 2 and Mary Street.
The civilian driver sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the officer sustained minor injuries. This prompted the Ontario Special Investigations Unit to look into the incident, thus resulting in the charge.
The Brockville based officer is set to appear in court in the early New Year.
