The Town of Prescott will be audited by Allan and Partners again for 2016, council confirmed last night at the year’s final meeting.
Council decided to stick with the firm to provide consistency from previous years.
It will be a first time experience for newly appointed Treasurer Matthew Armstrong, who will be compiling the town’s working papers and documents for Allan and Partners.
The contract for the town’s auditors will be offered up to other firms in the area though starting in the New Year. The town usually offers out a new contract for firms to compete on every five to 10 years. The town is hoping this next contract will take the town through until the end of the 2021 fiscal year.
