OPP Seeking Students for Marine Assistant Program

Students interested in a career in policing have a great opportunity to get involved with the Frontenac County OPP.

Applications are currently being accepted for their Marine Student Assistant Program. The program will allow students to gain hands on experience in law enforcement, give them an opportunity to learn marine safety, boat maintenance, and the chance to represent the OPP.

There is a list of criteria for those interested in applying:

  • You are able to pass an OPP background security investigation.
  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You must have a valid Ontario G2 (or higher) Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
  • You must have a valid and current Pleasure Craft Operator Card.
  • You must have valid and current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • You must be able to swim 300 metres without stopping.
