With budget talks nearing an end at Committee of the Whole, the town is now trying to make sure their bottom line stays black.
2% increases could be seen to property taxes in 2017, as well as municipal salaries to cover the cost of living.
Town Treasurer Matthew Armstrong says a few other fees around town might be seeing an increase as well. 2% increases could be made to the marina’s concession, the arena’s ice-time, and the pool’s swimming lessons and other services.
No numbers have been approved yet, with council still deciding on projects around town.
