Winter Storm Set To Hit Eastern Ontario

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Prescott, Brockville, Gananoque, Mallorytown, Merrickville, Wolford, Kemptville, Westport, and Charleston Lake.

Up to 15 centimetres of snow mixed with ice pellets is expected to fall by the end of tomorrow.

The weather service forecasts that heavy snowfall will start tonight with five centimetres and continue into tomorrow with another five to 10 centimetres.

Based on snowfall amounts, Environment Canada says it could change the special weather statement into a snowfall warning.

Drivers are being warned about low visibility tonight and tomorrow.
