Student transportation of Eastern Ontario has cancelled all buses for the Upper Canada District School Board and the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario today. Schools will stay open though.
This comes as Environment Canada’s special weather statement remains in place for Prescott, Brockville, Gananoque, Mallorytown, Merrickville, Wolford, Kemptville, Westport, and Charleston Lake.
Up to 15 centimetres of snow mixed with ice pellets is expected to fall by the end of today.
The weather service forecasts that heavy snowfall will persist until late this evening.
Drivers are being warned about poor driving conditions during morning and afternoon commutes.
