A developer from Merrickville is hoping to make a splash just outside of Prescott.
Promotional signs for a new water park resort, being called Aqua World Resort, were put up yesterday along Highway 401 and Merwin Lane for the proposed project which would sit right on the border of Prescott and Augusta.
Still in its early stages, the proposed resort would include an indoor water park, a 200-room hotel, a convention centre, five restaurants, and many family activities.
The project, which has yet to go before Augusta Township’s council, could cost as much as $75-million, and would create 250 full-time and part-time jobs during the peak season.
