Over $300,000 will be injected into the Brockville area in 2017 thanks to the Ontario 150 Community Capital program.
$250,000 has been approved for the City of Brockville to help in the renovation of the Brockville railway tunnel into a tourist attraction.
An additional $54,000 will also be going to the Brockville YMCA. The aquatics facility is in need of many upgrades and the money will go towards supplying a new boiler, hot water system, and new starting blocks.
The funding program is in support of Canada’s 150th birthday this year and aims to give funding to help repair and renovate community facilities.
