This year’s big ticket item on the capital projects budget has been given a timeline for completion.
Construction for the town’s new fire hall is scheduled to start this July and expected to wrap up a year from then in July of 2018.
The design of the new fire hall has yet to be revealed. Director of Operations Dan Beattie said he received four feedback forms on the building’s exterior design from a public meeting that took place back on January 30th.
A revised capital projects budget was presented at Committee of the Whole on Monday night, with the fire hall taking up $5-million of the total $8.4-million budget.
